Wrap-around ponytails

A wrap-around ponytail has a strand of hair that wraps elegantly around the base of your own ponytail. This design gives a very natural finish, with no obvious join between your hair and the ponytail extension.
The attachment method suits both short and long hair.

Fitting a wrap-around ponytail

A wrap-around ponytail can be fitted at different heights: low, mid-height or high, with excellent security. With a little practice, it can be fitted in under 30 seconds.

What are the pros and cons of drawstring ponytails compared with wrap-around ponytails?

Advantages of a wrap-around ponytail

  1. A wrap-around ponytail can be worn low, at mid-height or high. A drawstring ponytail is suited to mid-height or high styles. See the image below.
  2. A wrap-around ponytail wraps around the base of your own ponytail and suits all hair lengths. A drawstring ponytail fits over a bun, which can be more difficult if your hair is too short to form a bun, or if it is very long and thick and creates a very large bun.
  3. The base of the ponytail looks natural and elegant.
 

Advantages of a drawstring ponytail

  1. A drawstring ponytail is more comfortable for everyday, all-day wear. 
  2.  We currently offer a wider range of drawstring ponytails.
    • A drawstring ponytail has more fullness at the base, while a wrap-around ponytail has a more natural-looking base.
