Classic vs Premium wigs: features compared

How they feel to wear

Premium wigs with a lace base feel lighter to wear, almost as if you have nothing on your head. The lace is paper-thin and, if you wear the wig without a wig cap, you will barely feel it.
Classic Protein wigs with a cap base are not heavy either, but you will feel them more than lace wigs. They have silicone along the parting and an ultra-thin fabric cap over the rest of the head.
Both types of wigs stay secure when properly fitted.

How they blend with your hairline

Classic Protein wigs with a cap base usually have a fringe, because the straight edge of the silicone cap is harder to blend with a natural hairline. Cap wigs without a fringe also exist, but we do not stock them: we want you to feel comfortable wearing your wig without worrying that it looks unnatural.
Premium wigs with a lace base have very natural-looking edges that you can trim to suit your face. The lace is semi-transparent and skin-toned. You can apply powder in your shade to the underside to help it blend. This makes the strands appear to grow directly from your scalp.

Styling

Classic Protein wigs with a cap base should be worn in their original style. You cannot change the parting or put them into a ponytail or bun.
Premium wigs with a lace base let you change the parting or style a high ponytail. They can be straightened and curled at temperatures up to 180°C (watch THIS video)

How to fit them

Classic Protein wigs with a cap base slip onto your head like a cap. Hidden straps can be tightened for extra security.
Premium wigs with a lace base need additional hold from adhesive or hairspray.

The overall look

Classic Protein wigs with a cap base generally have more fullness at the crown because more strands can be attached. They look freshly blow-dried for volume.

Premium wigs with a lace base have less volume at the crown and look more like natural hair that has been washed and straightened or curled. The strands in Protein cap wigs are attached within the silicone, while Premium lace wigs are hand-tied into the lace. This handcrafting process is why Premium lace wigs cost more.
